28 June 2017 - The Best Paths project took part in the poster exhibition at Innogrid2020+ in Brussels, a major EU event on innovation in electricity networks. The exhibition showed the added value of Best Paths to contribute to the much-needed transition towards a low carbon economy. Several energy experts passed by the stand to hear more about the innovations in electricity transmission networks developed in the 5 demos of Best Paths.
The organisers - the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) and the European Distribution System Operators for Smart Grids (EDSO) - focused this sixth edition on the arising “network of networks”, where power grids and transport, telecom and IT, digital and physical link up in an unprecedented manner. Special attention was devoted to the rapidly evolving transmission-distribution interface.
During the two-day event, representatives from Transmission System Operators, Distribution System Operators, research centres and the European institutions discussed together the future of the European electricity grid and learnt more about the new state of the art technologies developed under several EU-funded projects, including Best Paths, during the poster exhibition.
